Senator Jerry Petrowski has served the Wisconsin State Assembly since 1998 and won in the 2012 recall election against Rep. Donna Seidel with 61.34% of the vote.

Senator Petrowski currently serves as the Chairman of the Senate Transportation, Public Safety and Veterans and Military Affairs Committee, Vice Chair of the Senate Economic Development and Local Government Committee, and is a voting member of other committees including the Senate Agriculture, Small Business, and Tourism Committee, the Senate Financial Institutions and Rural Issues Committee, and the Joint Legislative Council.  He also serves on the Governor’s Council on Highway Safety, Transportation Projects Commission, Rustic Roads Board, Scenic Byway Advisory Committee, Council on Military and State Relations, the State Council on Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children and the UW-Stevens Point College of Natural Resources Advisory Board.

In his first partial term as Senator, Jerry Petrowski had 56 of his authored bills signed into law. All of these bills received bipartisan support in the legislature (52 of them had unanimous support).
